If the fields are white for harvest, why do we spend all of our money on painting the barn?

Today’s Life Story

The Life Stories are illustrated stories that bring application to the lesson. Each lesson comes with a Life Story in a slide or overhead media. For outdoor use the slides must be put on cardboard or hardback.

  • Brings the preaching to a climax.
  • Brings life application to the lesson.
  • Try not to read the lesson. If read add a dramatic flare to the reading.
  • Aim to bring the children to a point of decision.
  • Use movie themes music in background enhance the story (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars, etc.)

Closing
  • Bring the lesson to a conclusion and main power point.
  • Closing prayer should flow with the theme of the lesson.
  • Give regular opportunities for children to pray to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

An important key to a successful Sidewalk Sunday School program is regular home visitation. The children are so blessed by our visits and the community sees our heart and embrace our work over time.

Another key to remember that Sidewalk Sunday School is not a one time evangelistic event. It is a regular consistent program that, if done right, will open the the door to impact the entire community.
